To help us gain an understanding of where each of you are currently at with your volunteer programs, we need to hear from each of you.
As we approach our typically busier months for volunteering, and as we adjust to physical-distancing measures, we need you to join us for a Volunteer Planning and Protocol Meeting to discuss volunteer safety and procedures. These meetings will serve as the basis for updating the volunteer platform’s user agreement and are the starting point for an nonprofit partner questionnaire we will be requiring all agencies to complete as part of a new user agreement.
Any of your staff who will be recruiting or working with volunteers for at least the remainder of 2020 are required to attend one of these meetings if your organization plans on:
- Posting needs and recruiting volunteers via volunteer.hoiunitedway.org/volunteer.bradley.edu
- Working with volunteers/students from Bradley University
- Participating in United Way Day of Caring
- Coordinating any team or group volunteer projects for your organization that are facilitated by United Way or Bradley University
While we work with you and company contacts, United Way will be also be:
- Updating our volunteer portal’s privacy statement for volunteers
- Sharing general safety requirements for volunteer teams and groups with you and the companies/volunteers
- Requiring all agencies to complete a new user agreement to keep their accounts active* on the volunteer portal
